The Florida Blue Sheet is the primary entertainment trade publication and the standard for entertainment professionals in the South. Our mission on this earth is to make you famous, and, if possible, rich, and to teach you all about George of Butte, Montana, the ultimate arbiter of fame in America -- if he knows who you are, you are automatically famous, because, obviously, if they know you in Butte, Montana, they know you everywhere. Our goal isn't as altruistic as it sounds. We want your money when you get rich, so we can build an industry of independent film makers outside the limits of Hollywoodland.

The printed Florida Blue Sheet, is magnificent 20 page newsletter that it is -- and uproariously funny in spots now and them -- focuses on getting work for people in the entertainment industry. In  2006 it was  a source of 40, 013 actual industry jobs in Florida and the South -- for talent, crew, and all sorts of support people, management people, technical people, writers, designers, teachers,  editors, and I don't know what all, for those in front of the camera and those behind it, above the line and below, live performers and those on film, musicians, composers, artists -- everyone with a connection to show business. Since 1990, it has opened the door to more than 800,000 entertainment positions. It is one of two indispensable tools for those who desire to make their living in some aspect of entertainment production anywhere in the Right-to-Work South. (The Other is The Florida Models & Actors Handbook, FAB contact 407/381-5419, Annie Kidwell. She'll take good care of you.)

A free copy of a recent ("recent" does NOT necessarily mean "current") issue of The Blue Sheet is available upon request.  Phone us (407/292-7458) or email us (bluesheet@juno.com) or drop us a line (see Contact Us) and provide your name, address, and phone number (we don't send them without the phone number). That's all it takes. Remember, we won't send you a free on unless you provide us with a working phone number. We aren't going to sell it, or market it in any way.. We just want to know you are for real, and besides, if the post office sends it back to us, which they do from time to time, we can call you and ask why.

If you would like our help in getting famous, and you live in the Southeast -- particularly Florida -- send us an email, a letter or a fax telling us what you've been accomplishing. We'll tell all 50 states and 15 of the better foreign countries all about you. If you can attract the attention of George of Butte, Montana, you will automatically become famous. Don't know about George? Read the Blue Sheet. To blow your own horn in front of the whole world or if you just want your mom to see your name in print, send stuff to: The Blue Sheet, 7238 Hiawassee Oak Dr, Orlando FL 32818. Our fax: 407/290-6528.  Our email: support@myfloridablueet.com

But wait! There's more! If you want us to tell the world about your company or help you crew  a production or fill an entetainment industry related job of any kind,  we do that, too. Just send what you need or what you want to promote to one of the contact places above. And we do it all for FREE! Now how much would you pay? support@myfloridablueet.com

You won't find lots of pictures here or many animated fuzzy bunnies--even if we knew how to do them (we don't) they are such a pain to maintain and they keep eating all our virtual carrots. Besides, all those ghastly fuzzy bunnies get pretty old pretty soon. But you will find some things that are useful to you.  It isn't everything that's available in the pages of The Blue Sheet -- and, because we make our living by selling our newsletter, much of what you'll see here has already appeared in earlier issues. Subscribers get it while it's hot. With your paid up subscription, you'll also get the current Blue Sheet delivered to your very own email address (assuming you provide us your email address.) Take what you can from what we offer.for free at our site.  Use it in good health. Then, be a sport amd pony up the few bucks it costs to subscribe. Look at it this way: if you can't afford the Blue Sheet, you can't afford to be in the business.

And if you need to reach us, it's easy We're in Orlando, Florida:  407-292-7458. Ofcourse, if you are digitally clever and have internet access, you could always email us: support@myfloridablueet.com It's up to you. We're easy.

And here's just a sample of some of the good stuff we provide:

And if you're an ACTOR, and since, if you are reading this far, there is a reasonably good chance you are, even if you have no talent and are starving like the rest of us, there's a site you ought to visit. It's run by our pal, Jack Turnbull, and it's called ACTORSITE. It's a gold mine of information if you're in Hollywood or headed out in that direction.  And, after you visit, drop old Jack a line at actorsite@aol.com. Tell him The Blue Sheet sent you. He'll put you on his mailing list for his newsletter, and you'll find it, too, to be of great value. We steal from it all the time.

Another excellent site for actors is Chad Garcia's Actor Tips, which offers Free Acting Supplies, Tips, and  Monologues. Get free samples of acting supplies, thousands of tips for succeeding as an actor, and more than 20 monologues to help you win that big role. Learn everything from how to get an agent to how to kiss on stage. It's well worth your time and trouble.
